Window tint doesn't have to be dark to protect.We also carry and recommend the Llumar window film that is legal in California for the drivers and passengers front side windows. You will receive a Llumar manufacturer's "Certificate of Compliance" that your car's window tinting is legal in California if you chose this film for your two front door windows. We will be happy to show it to you when you come in and it is part of our presentation on shades and colors that help you decide which tint to have us install on your vehicle.

Our warranty guarantees that your tint will be fixed or replaced free of charge for any film problems for as long as you own the vehicle.

HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN CALIFORNIA?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In California, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.

Windshield

Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.

Front Side Windows

Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Back Side Windows

Any darkness can be used.

Rear Window

Any darkness can be used.

Restricted Colors

The tint colors of RED, AMBER, and BLUE are not legal by state law.

Medical Exemption

California State law states that any device put on the windows for medical reasons must be removed at night. However our Llumar California legal film is 50 states legal on the front doors. And many medical insurance policies will cover the cost if you have your doctor write you a prescription.
